But what I wanted to do is give you an explanation about why I've been a little absent recently (Hint: The picture and post title were not chosen at random). The reason is that my wife and I are expecting our first child in September! As a result, life at the moment is a bit hectic in terms of making preparations for this arrival! (Although I understand from those in the know that life is going to be 'a bit hectic' for the next few years!)
So while I am still working on the Slaughterloo project and have plans to post about various other things as well, I'm suffering from a little lack of time. What I think I really need is to get a bit more organised. After all, that will be something of a necessity soon!
Thanks for your patience in the meantime! And I hope to get some of those draft posts I mentioned at the start in a publishable form soon(ish...).
Sorry for the delay - been a bit caught up with things. Congratulations on your news. If you bring the little one up properly you will find that it won't be many years before he/she regularly beats you at games :-) (Surprised I am the first to comment on your news actually)

Yes, things will be hectic but I am sure you wil find a little time to post and I look forward to reading what you put on.
Thanks for your comment! I'm looking forward to bringing up a new gamer!
DeleteLife will never be the same again, but you will gain a gaming buddy for quite a while!
ReplyDeleteMy wifes quite jealous of our gaming time together. I think she's concerned about the impeding space that will be taken up in the house with terrain, paints, boardgames and all that other cool gaming related stuff!
Seriously though, watching your child learn and achieve while they grow up, is one of the most rewarding experience life has to offer.
Congratulations :)
Thanks very much for your kind words. I recently bought some wood to increase my table size to 6x4 foot and tried to suggest I was doing it "for the baby". That didn't work so well... Although it is apparently 'cute' that I am insisting on buying him a big bag of Army Men when he's a bit older. So that's good! :)
