Blog Rebranding

Thanks to everyone who made suggestions recently when I posted about changing the name of my blog. There were several very good ideas there and they all certainly helped to get me thinking. I had a few suggestions sent to me privately as well, and one of them in particular struck a chord with me as it seemed to reflect my constant change of focus and variety of projects... As such, I am pleased to announce that Chris's Gaming Journal shall henceforth be known as:

The Conflict Cornucopia

I think this reflects what my blog is about and I quite like the alliteration.

In addition I took the slightly drastic step of altering the web address as "cthulhuchris" wasn't quite cutting it! I guess this might make all my old links defunct, but I'll sort out problems arising from that as they happen.  (http://conflictcornucopia.blogspot.co.uk/)

Finally, this is still a work in progress, so there will be further changes to the general appearance as and when I get round to it.

Hope you enjoy the Cornucopia's content, I have a few good posts in the pipeline that I hope you'll like! Thanks for reading

Chris

  1. I awoke late last month to find cthulhuchris.blogspot.com had been deleted.

I thought to myself "Wow! Maybe he doesn't want to do that review of 5150? Maybe he thought it preferable to close his blog?"

I searched high and low trying to find you online.....in my travels I even came across the strangely named "fuckyeahjamescallis.tumblr.com"

But alas, I couldn't track you down :(

I only managed to find you by typing into Google "what happened to cthulhuchrisblogspot?"

Then I stumbled onto this here fine blog.

I must commend you on your excellent skills of evasion :)

Glad to have found you again James.

    p.s. please don't disappear again :p

  2. Actually, I just discovered that blogger hasn't kept this blog updated on my dashboard. Maybe that's why I couldn't find you? Blogger has just stopped sending me your feed.

Oh well, now I think I know what went wrong.

I'll stop blathering on about you disappearing now :)

  3. Well, welcome back! I just took a look at your blog. Love the old school Space Marines and your conversion/scratch building work!

  4. I've got a series of Rogue Trader games planned for in a months time, so I have a lot to prepare before then. Glad you liked what you saw on my blog Chris, more is on the way :)

Thanks again for the SA review, I think I'll have to pick it up a couple of their publications now.

    Cheers.

    1. That'll be interesting to read about. I love the old RT book. I'm wanting to give it a go but using a range of 15mm figures instead. I don't have the space for yet another 28mm project!

I'd probably say get the free set and have a little shoutout with your beaky marines to get a feel of the mechanics. They are very different to other games!
